What's new in this update:
- 🛡️ Antivirus-friendly license and update checks — TRARO used to launch a PowerShell process on every license and update check, a pattern that antivirus, Windows Defender and SmartScreen treat as suspicious. Now it connects directly and only falls back to PowerShell in the rare case a firewall blocks it.
- ✅ Nothing else changes — same tools, same licenses, same behavior. It just installs and runs without tripping your security software.

VIZ Signatures, Rock Solid
- 🧊 Fixed Revit 2027 freezing when saving to 'Your Signatures' — the name prompt now uses a native Windows dialog, so the live preview and the dialog no longer fight each other.
- 📝 Save annotations from Simple and 2-3 Colors — dimensions, text and grids now have their own section in both modes (before, Advanced only), and 'Clear all' and loading a Signature cover them too.
- 🎨 Signature name prompt in TRARO VIZ style — dark theme, cyan button and Inter typography, instead of the gray Windows window.
- 🗂️ VIZ keeps your view filters when it disconnects the View Template.
- 🎟️ 1 bonus export Pass for your email — if you have no license yet, leave your email and get one extra Pass on top of the 3 you start with.

VIZ, Faster and Cleaner
- ⚡ Faster VIZ overrides — applying and previewing a Signature now scans the view once instead of once per category, noticeably snappier on real projects.
- 🖨️ No more surprise printer dialog — opening TRARO VIZ used to pop up a plotter dialog if a saved printer wasn't installed. Gone.
- 👁️ 'Current view' and 'Clear all' now do what they say — 'Current view (no overrides)' truly removes VIZ from the view, and 'Clear all' leaves groups unpainted instead of solid black, including dimensions, text and grids.

The Pass Model
- 🎟️ Browse and preview everything for free — any collection, any move, the Path Editor. The license limit only shows up at export time. Every install comes with 3 export Passes: each one produces a full PRO-quality video (no watermark, any collection, top resolution / length / fps). A Pass is only spent once the file finishes saving.
- 🔓 After the 3 Passes, TRARO stays in permanent FREE mode — the 4 Architectural moves, 5s, 1080p, 30fps, MP4, with a watermark. The add-in never locks you out.
- 🎨 TRARO LOOK Basic is now free for everyone — pick a color preset and an intensity slider and take it to your render. Standard, Advanced and Duotone stay PRO.
- 🚦 Passes-left indicator under the record button, colored by how many remain. And when you export an Architectural move for free, TRARO tells you exactly which quality settings it applies instead of doing it silently.

One Format, One View, One Look
- 📐 Output format now locked and synced live across Manager, VIZ and LOOK — change it in any of the 3 windows and the others update instantly if they're open.
- 👁️ TRARO VIZ — progressive Current View: a new toggle shows the real Revit view and only paints the groups you actually touch, so you can compare before/after without losing a Signature mid-edit.
- 🎞️ Real letterbox mask on framing guides (Manager and VIZ) — the guides now paint the actual crop bars instead of just a dotted border, so it's obvious what's in and what's out.
- 📸 Before/after slider in LOOK, and a real Save Image (PRO) export in VIZ and LOOK at the resolution and aspect ratio you choose (HD/4K/8K, 16:9/9:16, PNG/JPG).

Windows That Fit Your Screen + New Site
- 🖥️ All 4 windows now fit your screen — Manager, VIZ, LOOK and Settings match the real height of the monitor they're on. No more clipped or off-screen windows at 125% or 150% display scaling.
- 🌐 TRARO has a new home: traro.app — the purchase, help, and updates buttons inside the add-in now point to the dedicated domain.

The Moves, As You See Them Online
- 🎬 All 15 camera moves match the web visualizer — one shared spec, with an automated check that both compute the exact same path. What you preview online is what TRARO records.
- 🎯 Prey Lock rewritten — it now comes in head-on from a distance, grazes the subject and pulls away, reading as a zoom onto your target instead of a pass that orbits it. The curve is half as tight, so it no longer closes in on the element.
- 🌊 Sentry Sweep and Hero Orbit — the dome now rises from the very first frame instead of starting and ending flat, and Hero Orbit's final beat no longer landed at the start of the video when heading right.
- 🎨 TRARO VIZ: accent color per element group, with two-tone chips in the picker. Plus two color fixes — the live preview painted walls with the outline color, and the display options never reached the preview.

TRARO Look Fix
- 🎨 TRARO Look now applies with any visual style — it used to silently skip the grading unless you picked a TRARO VIZ style, even though the toggle looked active. Renders using 'Current view style' (the default since the 2026-08-06 fix) are fixed.
- 🔒 Stronger license protection under the hood — no visible change for legitimate users.

Your Own Style
- 🎨 Build your own Signature: pick 1, 2 or 7 colors depending on the mode (Simple / 2-3 Colors / Advanced) instead of choosing from 8 fixed styles. Save it, load it, share it as a file, or turn it into a native Revit view template.
- 👁️ Live preview and batch apply: a viewer inside the window updates as you move the controls, and Apply to… paints every view you tick in one go. Plus HEX input and a screen color picker on all 17 colors.
- 📐 Line weight control (1-8), overall or per element group — it reaches terrain contour lines too. And Toposolid (the Revit 2024+ terrain) finally gets its own color.
- 🎛️ TRARO LOOK in its own window: three levels — Simple (a single intensity control), Standard (7 controls) and Advanced (20) — plus a Duotone mode.
- 🔧 Revit is left as you had it: lines no longer thicken when the view is converted to perspective, and closing TRARO restores your view scale and visual style. The VIZ shadows toggle works now — it never did before.

Rock-Solid Crash-Recovery
- 🛡️ Crash-recovery survives power cuts: if the PC shuts down or goes to sleep mid-render, TRARO now always detects the interrupted render on reopening and offers to resume from the last frame — even if the progress file was corrupted by the outage (atomic writes + frame-count fallback).
- ⏱️ Live timer while recording: elapsed / remaining times are now correct on renders longer than 1 hour (they used to reset every hour), alternating with per-frame speed and progress. No more frozen numbers on slow frames.
- 🔗 Turbo Mode respects Revit Links: only entourage and planting are hidden now. Linked models no longer end up switched off after a render.
- 🔄 Your view is restored on close: if TRARO converted an isometric view to perspective when opening, closing the Manager now returns it to isometric, properly framed — no manual zoom-fit needed.

Lock Pitch + Crash-Recovery
- 🔒 Lock Pitch: a new checkbox next to S.R.V. (on by default) keeps the vertical tilt of your selected view while the camera orbits — the shot tracks the subject horizontally without re-aiming up or down at the pivot. Applies to TraroOrbit, SentrySweep, SymmetricSlide, TraroDrift and Prey Lock. Uncheck to restore the previous behavior.
- 💾 Crash-Recovery with auto-restore: TRARO saves every recording's full settings. If Revit or TRARO crashes mid-render, reopening offers to resume from the last frame and finishes the video — no need to set anything up again. Works in Smart Modes and Path Editor.
- 🗂️ Backups & Recovery in Settings: open the backups folder and reload any of your last 10 recordings with one click. Old backups are cleaned automatically.
- 🛡️ Tougher long renders: clean abort when the DirectX device is lost on heavy models (it used to crash Revit) plus a durable working folder that survives crashes. The time estimate no longer shows alarming numbers while measuring the first frame.

Repeatable Walkthroughs + REC / Prey Lock / MEP Fixes
- 🎬 Saved walkthroughs replay exactly: presets now store the camera orientation (eye / target / up) and Lock Start, so loading a walkthrough snaps the camera to the recorded position and perspective — the shot reproduces identically from any starting view.
- ⏹️ REC button fixed on cancel: the orange progress bar no longer loops forever and the button resets properly after cancelling a render.
- 🦅 Prey Lock easing: the camera now eases down at the center instead of stopping completely — a smooth, continuous emphasis on the subject.
- 🔓 Locked MEP 3D views: opening TRARO on locked plumbing / electrical 3D views now unlocks and converts to perspective automatically; if it still can't, a dialog offers to create a fresh 3D view.
- ✏️ TRARO VIZ cut lines: VIZ styles now force thin cut-line weights for a cleaner, more even look.

Far Clip Hotfix + Manager Limits Doubled
- 🎯 Large-radius walkthroughs fixed: Models like Sagrada Família used to record empty video despite previewing correctly. The Far Clip safety, previously fixed at 150 m, now scales with the walkthrough —
max(200, 2.5×R + |H| + 100) m— so models always fit inside the frustum. - 📐 Radius slider doubled: Range expanded from 200 m to 400 m. Frame urban projects and large-scale buildings without running out of distance.
- ↕️ Height slider doubled: Range expanded from ±100 m to ±200 m. Better support for tall buildings and deep below-grade vantages.

UX Overhaul + Bundle v1.2
- 🎨 Dark theme by default + Light mode redesigned: Body and header invert cleanly between themes, with correct contrast on labels, icons, GroupBox borders and footer.
- 🌐 Language change in real time: Switching language in Settings instantly refreshes mode names, Revit visual style names, Quality/Format/Framerate items, tooltips and the update banner — no restart needed.
- 🏷️ 15 mode names aligned with the official site: Sentry Sweep, Andean Ascent, Epic Rise, Hero Orbit and the rest now match the translations on the marketing visualizer.
- 💾 Path Editor save/load fixed: New brand-aware extensions
.traroSM(Smart Modes) and.traroPE(Path Editor). The toolbar delegates correctly based on the active tab and remembers the last folder used. - 📐 Section Box bug eliminated: Large models (cathedrals, masterplans, urban projects) no longer get silently cropped during render. The automatic 200m limit is gone; the benchmark dialog still offers an "Optimize" option when needed.
- ⚙️ Settings panel: New gear icon opens a dialog to switch theme, language, analytics opt-in/out and startup update checks.
- 🎬 VIZ palette parity: All 4 TRARO VIZ palettes now share 33 identical categories plus 6 new common ones (railings, plumbing fixtures, sprinklers, lighting, electrical and speciality equipment).

Stability Patch
- 🛠️ Revit 2026 startup crash: Resolved
ArgumentException: Unexpected tabreported on clean installs. - 🛡️ Robust ribbon loading: TRARO now logs the real error if the custom tab can't be created, and falls back automatically to the "Add-Ins" tab so the plugin always loads.
- 📋 No functional changes beyond the fix. Same modes, same VIZ palettes, same workflow as v1.1.4.
